Allergies Eye Twitch

Allergies can irritate your eyes resulting in an eyelid twitch. If you have a history of allergies this is an especially likely cause of your eye twitch. There may not be any other symptoms that you’re suffering from allergies at the time but this could still be the cause.

The most common method for treating allergies is over the counter drugs that block the allergic reaction from taking place and reduction of exposure to allergens by using things like hypoallergenic items or HEPA filters. There is also immunotherapy which can cure you of your allergies by increasingly larger exposure to the allergen provoking the reaction. However, this is more expensive and only works for specific allergies.

Check out the index above for specific information on allergy topics. Remember that treating your eye twitching is really a matter of treating the underlying cause of the twitch. Ask yourself if you’ve had allergies before and if they’re a likely cause of the twitching. Someone who has never had an allergic reaction shouldn’t pursue this any further for example.
